Memorial Day Weekend!

This past Memorial Day we spent the afternoon kayaking, I was more than happy to finally get my boat out in the water after sitting in the garage for so long. Brian came with us and I rented him his own kayak as a birthday present. The weather was nice but the water was too cold to swim in, this however didn't stop Tyler from hopping in (go figure). After that adventure we came home and swam in the nice CLEAN pool and barbecued. Fun Times! :D

Our Gardens Progress

This is our little pea plant. We planted at least 20 seeds and only about 5 grew. We're kinda amateur with this whole gardening thing.
The first row are carrots, the second row are broccoli, and that little lonesome plant to the far left is a string bean plant that Tyler gave me for mother's day.
Our lemon tree has flowers! Good sign!!!
We planted this lemon tree last summer and its already grown several feet.

My Brother Brian is Married!

April 25, 2009, Brian and Katie were married in the Salt Lake City Temple!!! The weather was cloudy, wet, and FREEZING! I really don't have a lot to say except that the wedding was beautiful, the new couple was impassioned with joy, and it was wonderful seeing all the extended family.

Easter Art Project

So being the absentminded person that I am, I totally forgot to take pictures on Easter. No pictures of his Easter basket, no pictures before church, no pictures of his egg hunt, nothing. But I did remember to take pictures of him painting his bird feeder :D He was really excited about the project and I think he did a great job! Check it out!

This is Tyler proving to the world that tough guys paint too!

6 Flags Discovery Kingdom!

Friday afternoon we had a raffle at work and I won a High School Musical Easter basket. The gal that won the six flags tickets ended up not wanting them and asked me to trade with her. I explained to her that it wasn't a fair trade but she didn't care because she wouldn't use the tickets. SO I got two tickets to 6 flags AND $20 of food vouchers! We of course went the very next day because Deke actually had the day off from the fire academy. The weather was beautiful and it was nice spending some much needed time with Deke. He's been so busy with work, school, and the fire academy that we haven't spend a whole lot of time together. It ended up being a really fun day!

♥ We got some snuggling in while waiting in the long lines ♥
This cute little penguin followed Deke's finger along the glass.

In line for one of the water ride....all smiles.
After the water ride...all wet, I'm not smiling. :(

I like to think that he was blowing kisses at us.

We got blue tongues from a snow cone we had while waiting for the whale show to start.
One of the many sweet tricks.

A quote from Tyler

Tyler: "Mommy, you're 25? 25 is not old....(confused look), but why do you LOOK so old???"

Ahhh....I love my little outspoken boy. He's brutally honest with me when no one else is. :D

!OSCAR'S BABY!

Last weekend the SacYSA had an Oscar's night. We left the house thinking we looked rather good, well who am I kidding we DID look rather good...but once we arrived I was feeling a little under dressed. Most of the men were wearing tuxedos and the girls were in gowns/prom dresses. We walked down a red carpet, had our pictures taken by the "paparazzi", they even had a red carpet reporter asking everyone who they were wearing. Once settled in our seats we watched 10 movies that were made by members of the YSA district. Following that they of course had an award ceremony which included a controversy over a "inappropriate" movie but we won't go there. And what would the Oscars be without an AFTER PARTY! The "after party" basically consisted of music and visiting while people cleaned up all the tables and chairs...it was swankin. In the end it really was a fun evening but next time I will be wearing a gown for sure! I love opportunities to dress formal! ;D

♥The MANY faces of my sweet Tyler♥

This is his sweet angel face (of course we only see that one when he's sleeping, ha!)
This is his ferocious face, grr...
Here we have his thinking hard face...of course we see that one the most when he's playing Mario on the computer.
♥ Oh my cuteness, how did this one get in here! ;D ♥

This is his do not bother me, I'm eating face.

This is one of his many silly faces. We see lots of those, way too many to post ☻

This is his I'm laughing and I don't know why face. Yes, that happens often.

Watch out ladies this is the most dangerous of all his faces. This is his I know I'm cute and have to die for dimples face!!!

And that my friends is my darling Tyler.
